About Queensland Pathways State College:

Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) delivers a flexible and future-focused senior education program that empowers young people aged 15 to 18 to thrive. Through personalised learning, strong relationships, and targeted support, we inspire students to re-engage with their education, realise their strengths, and transition confidently into further learning, training, or employment.

Operating across nine campuses throughout Queensland, QPSC is committed to creating innovative and responsive learning environments that support both student success and staff excellence.

About the Role:

The Project Officer will work closely with the Business Manager to support a range of organisational improvement initiatives focused on improving operational systems, strengthening workforce onboarding processes and developing resources that improve consistency across all campuses.

The successful applicant will undertake project activities, research, document review and resource development activities that contribute to improving operational efficiency and strengthening access to high quality resources across the organisation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with the review and organisation of the school's SharePoint environment to improve accessibility, consistency and usability of operational resources and documentation.
  • Conduct reviews of existing operational documents and resources to ensure information remains current and aligned with departmental policies, legislative requirements and school procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing business operations pages, workplace health and safety resources and procedural documentation to improve consistency and staff access across all campuses.
  • Research best practice onboarding, induction and workplace, health and safety programs used across education and other organisations to identify opportunities for improvement within the school.
  • Design, develop and implement online onboarding and induction programs for both teaching and support staff through QLearn or other appropriate online learning platforms to ensure a consistent and high-quality onboarding experience across all campuses.
  • Develop centralised operational resources, templates, procedural guides and support materials that improve consistency, strengthen business continuity and reduce duplication of work across campuses.
  • Assist in reviewing operational systems and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and standardisation.
  • Prepare reports, project updates and recommendations for consideration by the Business Manager.
  • Undertake additional project activities and other duties as directed throughout the project period.

About You:

It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience supporting projects, business improvement initiatives or operational programs.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience developing documentation, resources or procedural materials.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience developing professional documentation, procedural guides, training materials or operational resources.
  • Experience working with SharePoint, QLearn or similar digital content management and online learning platforms.
  • Ability to undertake research, analyse information and support process improvement activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work.
  • Experience in education, administration, government or project support roles will be highly regarded.
