Job Title: Primary 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds and surrounding areas

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant that can work 1-1 with children on a temporary basis across both KS1 and KS2 in a Primary setting in Leeds and surrounding areas. We are seeking a motivated individual to help change the lives of young children. You will need a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and be able to help create an inclusive, inspiring environment that supports pupils with their learning. You could be supporting children with various SEND needs so your approach will need to be adapted to be able to meet needs when working 1-1.

  • Varied 1-1 work across both KS1 and KS2
  • Implement effective strategies to manage and de- escalate challenging behaviour.
  • Assist with academic work where necessary ensuring the pupil remains engaged and supported.
  • Be able to record and report on pupil's progress, behaviours and interventions.

    • The School and Requirements:

    Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is desirable but not essential.

  • You can demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Excellent communication to be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Have a proactive, positive and adaptable approach.
  • Can confidently plan, assist deliver and adapt learning to meet academic requirements to meet a range of different needs and age groups.
