Veritas Education is recruiting an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead a welcoming Early Years setting in Hackney. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the nursery while maintaining the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding.

As Nursery Manager, you will lead and inspire a committed team, ensuring children receive exceptional care and learning experiences in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in supporting staff development, building strong relationships with families, and driving continuous improvement across the setting.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 6 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or a related subject (essential)
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager within an Early Years setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing staff
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • A confident, proactive, and approachable management style
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding Early Years education and care
  • Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance are maintained
  • Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Oversee curriculum planning and deliver an engaging, child-centred learning environment in line with the EYFS
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements
  • Manage occupancy, enrolments, staffing, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of the nursery
