Area Manager

Leeds & Wakefield | Overseeing Two Established Nurseries + New LS7 Opening

Are you an experienced Nursery Manager ready to take the next step in your career?

This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving, independent nursery group as an Area Manager, overseeing two well-established nursery settings across Leeds and Wakefield, while playing a key role in the launch and development of an exciting new setting in LS7.

This is far more than an operational management role. You'll be joining a unique nursery group with a genuine passion for providing exceptional early years experiences, fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging. The settings celebrate individuality and welcome people from all backgrounds, creating environments where children, families, and staff feel valued, respected, and supported.

With a strong focus on Forest School and outdoor learning, these nurseries believe that some of the most memorable and meaningful learning experiences happen in nature. Children are encouraged to explore, take risks, build confidence, and develop a lifelong connection with the outdoors.

The Opportunity

As Area Manager, you will work closely with the owner to help drive the vision and continued success of the nurseries. You'll support and mentor the Nursery Managers, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and confidence to lead their teams effectively while maintaining the highest standards of care and education.

This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys developing people, building strong teams, and making a real impact across multiple settings.

  • Drive high standards across safeguarding, compliance, and childcare delivery
  • Support the successful opening and growth of the new LS7 nursery
  • Help create positive cultures where staff feel supported, engaged, and motivated
  • Build strong relationships with families, teams, and the wider community
  • Ensure each setting continues to deliver outstanding experiences for children

    • We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience in Nursery Management or Multi-Site Management
  • Is a confident and inspiring leader
  • Has a strong understanding of Early Years regulations and the EYFS framework
  • Is passionate about developing teams and supporting others to succeed
  • Shares a love for outdoor learning, Forest School, and child-led experiences
  • Values diversity, inclusion, and creating positive workplace cultures
  • Has excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

    • Why You'll Love This Role

  • Opportunity to oversee multiple successful nursery settings
  • Play a key role in launching a brand-new nursery in LS7
  • Work alongside a passionate and forward-thinking owner
  • Join an independent nursery group where your ideas and expertise will be valued
  • Lead teams that genuinely care about children, families, and each other
  • Be part of a setting with a unique Forest School approach and strong connection to nature
  • Competitive salary and excellent career progression opportunities
  • The chance to make a lasting impact on children, staff, and the future growth of the organisation

    • If you're looking for a leadership role where you can influence, inspire, and help shape the future of a truly unique nursery group, we'd love to hear from you.
