Veritas Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a secondary school in Dewsbury to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking department dedicated to raising achievement and fostering a love of mathematics among students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced applicants.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress in line with school policies.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes and reaching their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff.
  • The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
  • Can motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
