About the Role

We are seeking a resilient and committed GCSE Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in SE9.

This role involves teaching Key Stage 4 students (Years 10 & 11) with high behavioural needs, supporting them to achieve GCSE Maths outcomes in a structured, supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated GCSE Maths lessons
  • Plan and assess in line with curriculum expectations
  • Support students with SEMH and behavioural challenges
  • Build strong relationships to promote engagement and progress
  • Contribute to a positive and consistent behaviour culture

  • ✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • ✅ Has experience teaching GCSE Maths
  • ✅ Has prior experience working in an SEMH or alternative provision
  • ✅ Is calm, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
  • ✅ Committed to supporting vulnerable learners to succeed
