Location: Middlesbrough Pay: £168 - £261 per day Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply Start Date: September 2026

Veritas Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Maths Teacher for a long-term opportunity within a well-established mixed 11-16 secondary school in Middlesbrough.

This is a full-time role starting in September, with the school looking to secure a high-quality Maths specialist who can confidently deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to raising attainment and fostering a positive learning environment.

The school is part of a successful multi-academy trust and benefits from strong leadership, clear behaviour expectations, and a focus on academic achievement and student development.

The Role

  • Deliver Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Plan, prepare and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Inspire students to develop confidence and enjoyment in Mathematics
  • Monitor progress and provide effective feedback
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community

    • The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has recent experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people
  • Available to start in September on a full-time basis

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (preferred)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant references covering recent employment
