Your Role:
The Marketing and Events Officer plays a key role in promoting Mountain Creek State High School and strengthening engagement with students, families and the wider community.
Reporting to the Principal or nominated delegate, the role supports the planning and delivery of major school events, coordinates marketing and promotional activities, and maintains the school's communication channels, including publications, website and social media platforms.
Working collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders, the position contributes to the school's strategic priorities by showcasing achievements, enhancing community connection and supporting a positive and consistent public profile for the school.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and deliver major school events (including awards ceremonies, graduation, ANZAC Day) through effective planning, stakeholder engagement and creative execution.
- Develop and manage school marketing and communication materials, including publications, promotional resources, newsletters and website content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain a proactive and engaging online and social media and website presence to promote the school and communicate effectively with the wider community.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with staff, industry partners and community stakeholders to support marketing and sponsorship initiatives and events.
- Contribute to marketing and sponsorship strategies, systems and processes that promote the school's profile, achievements and strategic priorities.

About You:
- You are a creative, driven marketing all-rounder with a strong digital mindset and a passion for building engaging online presence and compelling stories.
- You thrive on variety and bring energy, initiative and fresh ideas to marketing, communications and event delivery.
- You are confident managing digital platforms including websites and social media, with an eye for what captures attention and connects with diverse audiences.
- You engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and actively support the school's sponsorship and partnership programs through collaboration, relationship-building and support in managing sponsorship agreements/commitments.
- You are flexible and adaptable, with the willingness to adjust work hours to support after-hours school events.

- Recreation leave is accrued throughout the course of employment to be taken at the end of year break. In addition to this, by working an extra hour each day (known as ADO), you will be entitled to take the end of term breaks with pay equivalent to your employment roster.
