About Infrastructure Services Division (ISD):
ISD oversees a $1.9 billion annual infrastructure portfolio. The planning and management of this portfolio is crucial to the smooth delivery of a high volume of projects to support the education system across the state, including significant investments in new schools, new school buildings to accommodate future growth, and the renewal, refurbishment and maintenance of existing facilities. About the Role
As the Manager you will:
- Manage teams in the delivery, management and reporting for a range of complex infrastructure, planning and asset management activities for the department.
- Provide strategic advice to the Minister, Director-General, Division executive, senior management and departmental stakeholders across a range of infrastructure, planning and asset management issues.
Responsibilities include :
- Supporting the Director, Portfolio Planning to deliver high quality infrastructure outcomes that align with the Department's strategic objectives.
- Leading a team to administer existing, long term agreements for 21 schools operating under a PPP or DCM arrangement.
- Engaging regularly with schools and project partners to foster strong relationships and deliver responsive and timely asset outcomes.
- Establishing and maintaining a robust contract management framework to ensure all contractual obligations are and to mitigate risk.
- Mentoring and supporting other members of the Contract Management Team to develop and grow to their full potential.
- Leading a culture of continuous improvement by positively contributing and embracing new ideas and innovative ways of working.
- Collaborating and communicating effectively and providing strategic advice on contract management matters to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Leading a positive team culture and emphasising learning and development
Highly advantageous skills:
- Prior experience in contract management for building operations and maintenance.
- A stakeholder engagement professional who can build strong relationships with our school communities and project partners.
- A contract management expert with a structured and documented approach to ensuring that all parties are meeting their obligations under the terms of relevant agreements.
- A proactive and reliable team leader that delivers outcomes, thinks strategically and takes the team on the journey.
