About this job

About Us:

The Link and Launch program aims to support this group of young people, with a focus on Year 12 completers who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) in the two years after leaving school.

By assisting these young people to navigate the pathways, programs and services that are available to them, they will be supported to make a positive transition.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

Our cluster of schools is looking for an engaging and knowledgeable staff member to join our pathways team, taking on an important role in supporting school leavers.

As the Link and Launch Coordinator you will:

  • Undertake the establishment of an outreach program to link with Year 12 completers who are not in study or employment, and provide information and available employment opportunities and practices, careers and courses relevant to their individual situation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with education and training providers, employers, and other key agencies, including setting up appointments, and following up to support the connection with the program.
  • Actively engage with universities, training organisations, employers, industry groups, community organisations and other agencies to source study or work pathways and implement actions to assist young people to make a timely, meaningful and successful transition to education, training or employment.
  • Provide practical assistance to young people to access required services to remove barriers to their engagement in education, training or employment, including transporting young people to appointments, assisting young people to access financial payments through Centrelink, etc.

Please refer to the attached role description for a full list of responsibilities and any mandatory requirements for this position.

Submit Your Application:

  • Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history)

We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.

Applications remain current for 12 months from the closing date and may be considered for appointment to identical or similar vacancies within the Department.
