Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Nursery
Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week - 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday, term time only
Required From: 1st September 2026
Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a Nursery class within a welcoming primary school in the Bury area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young children during the early stages of their education.
The Role
Working alongside the class teacher, you will:
Support children's learning and development within the Nursery classroom.Work with individuals and small groups to encourage learning and confidence.Provide support for children with additional needs where required.Help create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment.Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.Promote children's wellbeing, independence and social development.About You
The successful candidate will:
Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).Have recent experience working within a Nursery, EYFS or primary school setting.Have experience supporting children with SEND.Be calm, patient and nurturing.Have excellent communication and organisational skills.Be able to work effectively as part of a team.Have high expectations and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.What's on Offer
