Learning and Complex Needs Support

Veritas Education is working with a range of SEN and Complex needs settings within the Harrogate and North Yorkshire area, who are building up a specialised supply pool of support staff.

The settings support children from 4 to 19 years old, with a range of learning, physical, sensory, mobility, communication and complex care needs. From state of the art facilities, to experienced and qualified specialist staff, these schools have created a safe, nurturing and holistic learning environment to meet the needs of all their students.

The Role:

  • Veritas Education are looking to speak to long term, part time and bank staff looking for SEN and Complex Needs support roles around the Harrogate and North Yorkshire area.
  • The ideal applicant is someone who has experience supporting a range of learning, physical and complex care needs across children and young adults.
  • Be comfortable supporting and assisting with personal care, hygiene support and changing across all learner age groups.
  • Confident in supporting the teaching of additional needs, such as Autism, Asperger's, Down Syndrome and other communication/sensory requirements.
  • Demonstrate resilience, communication and a nurturing approach when working with different students and staff, in creating a suitable learning environment for all.
  • Get INVOLVED - Schools need confident staff members who are happy to get stuck in and be interactive with the children, from being involve in arts sessions, sensory play groups and outside in the communal play areas!

    • Veritas Education are specifically looking to speak to both full and part time applicants who are interested in SEN support roles within the area, Veritas can advise on pay rates, additional CPD training and more information about the role and schools!
