Junior School Classroom Teacher- commencing January 2025

The Junior School Classroom Teacher is fulltime position.

About the role

Applicants for this role will ideally have previous experience delivering the Primary Curriculum. IB qualifications and PYP knowledge will be of advantage.

Scots Junior School is an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) School. The PYP is a contemporary approach to education that is delivered in schools in Australia and around the world. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside.

This Programme ensures that our students are receiving an education that prepares them for success in a rapidly changing global environment. We do this by providing an inspiring, dynamic environment in which students are closely supported to achieve their personal best.

Our Junior School provides opportunities for students to engage in a wide range of experiences. It allows our students to find interests and passions that will shape who they are as human beings. Our students can learn to dance, to play music, to express themselves creatively, to learn another language, to grow vegetables and to create culinary masterpieces, to compete athletically and to perform on stage. Our students are taken out of their comfort zones and supported with the skills and attitudes to flourish.

Applicants for this role will ideally have:

  • Qualifications in subject area and Teaching and or Education that allow registration as a Teacher in NSW.
  • Fulfil requirements as mandated by NESA.
  • An understanding and experience in delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) will be highly regarded.
  • Current First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check Clearance or willingness to obtain.
