Position Information
Griffith High School is a large, 7-12 comprehensive secondary school in Griffith with 590 students, including 18% Aboriginal and 22% Pasifika students. The school has a Clontarf Academy, an Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre and Pasifika Community Liaison Officer to support students and staff. From 2026, Griffith High School is a 4 point/5 year incentive transfer school.
The school has a support unit with 4 classes as well as the Riverina Suspension Centre - Griffith, to support the educational provision for complex student needs. Students at the school benefit from the multi-award winning Murrumbidgee Academy of STEM Excellence (MASE) Academy that provides education to students in partner primary schools and secondary schools right across NSW. In 2025, the school won best STEM program in schools across all education sectors at the Australian Education Awards. The school seeks to continue to build on the growing academic performance of students, supporting them through strong academic, cultural, sporting and vocational pathways.

This is an Above Centrally Identified permanent teacher position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of this funding, the ongoing requirement for the role and the educational needs of the school. Should the funding or the requirement for the position cease, the teacher will receive nominated transfer status; please refer to the Staffing Procedure for the Teaching Service in NSW Public Schools for additional information. When accepting the position, the successful applicant will be indicating their acceptance of the terms and conditions attached to this appointment.
