Position Information
James Meehan High School is a comprehensive secondary school located in Macquarie Fields, serving a diverse and vibrant community. The school represents 29 cultural groups and 27 language backgrounds, with 41% of students from a language background other than English, 32% from Pasifika backgrounds, and 20% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Demonstrated capacity to lead faculty improvement through evidence-informed practice, building staff capability to deliver high quality instruction responsive to students’ evolving needs and offer high level of mathematics courses.
- Proven expertise in leading data-driven practice to strengthen curriculum responsiveness and differentiation across the faculty.
- Demonstrated ability to lead whole-school initiatives through collaborative leadership and strong alignment with the executive team.
- Proven capacity to lead whole-school numeracy improvement to strengthen outcomes for all students, including students with disability.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
