The Head of Development & Strategy is a newly created position that reports to the Principal and is a key member of the Senior Executive Team, contributing to whole-school strategy, leadership and decision-making.
The Head of Development & Strategy provides executive leadership across strategy, innovation, technology and community-facing portfolios in a collaborative and future-focused manner. The role integrates enrolments, marketing, communications, philanthropy and ICT to strengthen the School’s brand, growth and sustainability. Working closely with the Principal and executive colleagues, the role leads strategic planning, drives data-informed decision-making and ensures cohesive delivery of major initiatives that enhance educational excellence, student wellbeing and organisational effectiveness.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Active and visible commitment to the Christian faith with the ability to lead a culture where Anglican values, integrity, service and compassion shape the School
- Strategic leadership in enhancing teaching and learning through the innovative, ethical and effective use of technology, data and digital capability to support educational excellence and student wellbeing
- Proven capacity to lead whole-school improvement, innovation and change through the development and implementation of coherent strategic plans, governance frameworks and major initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to develop self and others by leading high-performing teams, fostering professional growth, and building a collaborative and accountable leadership culture
- High-level executive management skills in overseeing complex school operations including enrolments, marketing, technology, risk, compliance and resource planning
- Exceptional capacity to engage and build strong relationships with parents, alumnae, donors and the wider community to enhance reputation, enrolment growth and philanthropic outcomes
Offered as a full-time ongoing executive role, with a 2026 commencement negotiable based on candidate availability, applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and be a practising Christian aligned with Tara’s Anglican ethos.
