Who We Are:

North Lakes State College is seeking an innovative and future-focused Head of Department - eLearning & Technologies to join our leadership team. As one of Queensland's largest Prep to Year 12 colleges, we are committed to fostering a culture of innovation, excellence and continuous improvement, ensuring every student is known, supported and challenged to achieve success in a rapidly evolving world.

This leadership role is responsible for leading both the College's eLearning strategy and Technologies faculty areas, including Digital Technologies, Hospitality and Industrial Design Technologies. The successful applicant will play a key role in enhancing teaching and learning through the effective use of online learning platforms and digital tools, while also driving high-quality curriculum delivery and student outcomes across Technologies subjects.

In addition to whole-school responsibilities, the successful applicant will oversee the management and implementation of the College's online learning platforms, supporting staff and students to effectively utilise digital technologies to enhance engagement, collaboration and learning outcomes. This role is central to strengthening contemporary teaching practices, fostering innovation and ensuring students are equipped with the skills and capabilities required for future pathways.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership in curriculum, pedagogy and school improvement.
  • Expertise in contemporary eLearning practices and digital platforms that enhance teaching and learning.
  • Strong knowledge and experience within Technologies curriculum areas, including Digital Technologies, Hospitality and/or Industrial Design Technologies.
  • The ability to lead change, build staff capability and foster a collaborative culture of innovation.
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
