Your opportunity
As the Head of Department - International Studies, you will:
- Provide strong instructional leadership and foster a culture that values quality teaching and learning, student engagement, and staff professional growth.
- Be responsible for ensuring that our Languages Faculty and International Program reflect and uphold the values of Mountain Creek SHS and the Department of Education, while contributing to the school's vision of developing confident, capable, and globally minded learners.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Drive a culture of excellence in language learning and international education.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the wider community.
- Create meaningful opportunities for students to develop linguistic proficiency, intercultural competence, and active citizenship.
- Strengthen the International Student Program, fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects our commitment to global education.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of teaching, learning, and support across the faculty.
- Support student management and wellbeing as a year level team member.
