About the Role

As the Head of Department - English, you will be working collaboratively with staff.

You will build teacher capability, strengthen curriculum delivery, and promote consistent, evidence-informed practices that support student engagement and achievement within a vibrant and inclusive school community.

Your responsibiulities

  • Lead the school department and curriculum focus in developing and providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
  • Be future-oriented and strategic.
  • Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff. 
  • Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
