About the Role
Canberra Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher who can ignite students' curiosity about the world and inspire them to think critically about the environments, societies and global challenges that shape our future.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Humanities Faculty and teach students who are eager to engage with contemporary issues, sustainability, human geography and the interconnected nature of our world.
You will teach Geography within the Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), with the opportunity to contribute to senior Geography and related Humanities courses. Through dynamic and inquiry-based learning experiences, you will help students develop the analytical, research and problem-solving skills required to thrive in an increasingly complex global society.

About You

You will bring:
- Expertise in Geography and a passion for the discipline
- The ability to engage students through inquiry, investigation and real-world learning
- A commitment to high-quality and inclusive classroom practice
- Strong subject knowledge and a desire to continually develop professionally
- The ability to foster critical thinking, global awareness and environmental stewardship
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, the Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate programmes
- Enthusiasm for contributing to pastoral care, co-curricular activities and the broader life of the School
- Respect for the School's Anglican ethos and commitment to an inclusive community
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
