SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS Location: Nelson, LancashireStart Date: September 2026

We're working with a welcoming and nurturing Primary School in Nelson who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team this September. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a genuine difference, supporting young learners at such an important stage in their development.

The role: You will be working closely with children in Early Years, supporting those with special educational needs - both 1:1 and in small groups. The school is keen to find someone who can build strong, trusting relationships and provide consistent, tailored support to help each child thrive.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience supporting children in EYFS, ideally within an SEN setting
  • A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
  • Confidence supporting children with additional needs (such as ASD, speech & language, or social communication needs)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life
  • Relevant qualifications or training are beneficial, but attitude and experience matter most
