A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a qualified EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support children within a Nursery or Reception setting, helping them develop key early learning, communication, and social skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.

The role would suit an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning within the EYFS setting

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Support phonics, early reading, and numeracy development

  • Assist with classroom organisation and learning activities

  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents

  • Requirements

    Essential:

  • Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience working within an EYFS setting

  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework

  • GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)

  • Desirable:

  • Experience within a primary school setting

  • Knowledge of phonics and early intervention programmes

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
