Veritas Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher with the ability to teach Drama to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Blackburn from January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging English lessons while also contributing to the Drama department. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where both staff and students can thrive.

The Role:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver Drama lessons and support extracurricular performing arts activities.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.

    • The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
  • Ability or experience teaching Drama.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A passion for raising attainment and engaging young people in learning.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
