With our current ELC Learning & Operations Leader taking on the role of Head of Junior Campus, the opportunity has arisen for an outstanding educator who inspires and instils learning for life in our youngest learners to commence as the new ELC Learning and Operations Leader.  This role commences in Term 1, 2025 and will have operational oversight of our ELC consistently rated ‘exceeding’ since 2013 by the National Quality Standards.

As ‘Educational Leader’ for the ELC, this role

  • establishes and maintains a learning environment which seeks to encourage our students’ lively curiosity and spirit of open-minded inquiry;
  • maintains current teaching practices in accordance with best practice, government directives, our school ethos and the expectations of the community;
  • working closely with our exceptional ELC Teachers and co-educators, leads the ongoing development and implementation of curriculum which is informed by the Reggio Emilia Approach and the Early Years Learning Frameworks;
  • is responsible for the smooth daily operation of the ELC from both an administrative, operational and compliance perspective.  This includes responding to day-to-day operational concerns, engaging with stakeholders for event organisation, effective rostering of staff and driving policy development; and
  • leads by example as a teacher who inspires a love of learning, sates curious minds, and fosters learning that is life enhancing for the youngest members of our learning community.

This role is well suited to an outstanding teacher with:

  • demonstrated organisational and educational leadership and a record of success in achieving agreed goals in collaboration with others;
  • excellent organisational and self-management skills, including the capacity to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage time effectively;
  • experience managing regulatory documentation and compliance to the highest of standards;
  • the ability to manage others and work well in teams; and
  • experience leading staff to ensure robust knowledge of regulatory obligations, compliance with such, and the ability to support their development as teachers of excellence in early childhood education
