Design & Technology (DT) Teacher - Full-Time, Long-Term Role

About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a successful secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting from October Half Term 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established DT department and inspire students through practical, hands-on learning. The successful candidate will help develop students' creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills while delivering an engaging and challenging curriculum.
Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4Teach areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Construction, or Graphics, depending on your specialismPlan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculumDifferentiate learning to support students of all abilitiesPromote creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving skillsMaintain high standards of behaviour and classroom managementEnsure safe working practices are followed within workshop environmentsContribute to departmental development and extra-curricular activitiesThe Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Has experience teaching DT within a secondary school settingDemonstrates strong practical and technical subject knowledgeHas excellent classroom management and communication skillsIs passionate about inspiring students through practical learningCommitted to raising attainment and student achievementECTs are encouraged to applyWhat the School Offers
