About the Role:
As Deputy Principal, you will work in close collaboration with the Principal to lead school improvement and deliver enhanced educational outcomes for all students. You will play a critical role in shaping a shared vision for excellence, fostering a culture of high expectations, and ensuring alignment between strategic priorities and day-to-day operations.
This position requires a future-focused leader who can balance strategic oversight with operational effectiveness, while maintaining a strong presence within the school community.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support the Principal to lead the school community in developing, articulating and embedding a shared educational vision focused on high-quality outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal as required, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
- Lead initiatives that improve teaching quality, student engagement and academic achievement.
- Build and sustain productive partnerships with students, staff, parents, community groups, industry and external agencies.
- Model and promote ethical, values-based leadership and socially just practices across all aspects of school life.
- Set and maintain high standards for staff and student performance, aligned to departmental expectations.
- Use strategic thinking and data-informed decision-making to drive continuous improvement.
- Effectively manage human, financial and physical resources to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies and system priorities impacting schooling.
- Commit to ongoing professional learning and leadership development.
