Cover Supervisor - Day-to-Day & Short-Term Opportunities Rochdale | Veritas Education

Veritas Education is currently seeking confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Rochdale on a day-to-day and short-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience, work flexibly around other commitments, or pursue a future career in teaching. Opportunities are available immediately across a variety of welcoming and supportive secondary schools.

The Role:

  • Supervising classes during teacher absences
  • Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain on task
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting students with their learning where required
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and student engagement
  • Working across a variety of subjects and year groups

    • Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Confidence leading groups of secondary-aged students
  • Adaptable, professional and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
