Veritas Education is currently seeking confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a flexible basis in a variety of secondary schools across Rossendale and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with learning.
  • Supervise students across a range of subjects.
  • Provide support and guidance where required.
  • Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

    • The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or support capacity.
  • Are confident managing groups of students.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can remain calm, professional, and adaptable.
  • Are passionate about supporting young people's education.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
