Cover Supervisor - Full Time - Redbridge

Are you confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people in a school setting? A welcoming and community‑driven secondary school in Redbridge is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, builds rapport easily, and wants to gain hands‑on experience in education. This is a full time position (5 days a week) but we also have part time/daily cover opportunities available in the local area

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher

Deliver pre‑prepared work and ensure students remain on task

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Support students with questions and encourage positive engagement

Build strong relationships with pupils and be a consistent, calm presence

Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams

No planning or marking is required-your focus is on delivering lessons confidently and maintaining a productive classroom environment.

Adaptable and comfortable working across different year groups and subjects

Calm under pressure and able to handle behaviour fairly and consistently

Approachable, friendly and able to connect with young people

Reliable, punctual and committed to supporting the school day‑to‑day

Interested in developing a career in teaching, pastoral work or wider education

Have experience in a school setting, either as a TA or as a Cover Supervisor
