About the Role
- Provide first-level technical support to staff and students, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and management of computers, devices, and peripherals across the school
- Support the installation and updating of software and applications in line with departmental requirements
- Maintain accurate records of ICT equipment, repairs, and asset management
- Assist with user account management and access support
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure technology enhances teaching and learning outcomes
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
Skills and Experience
Must Have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and students
- A proactive, “can do” attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot ICT issues effectively
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and common software applications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in a school or education setting
- Experience working within Education Queensland systems and processes
- Knowledge of device management systems and ICT asset tracking
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in Information Technology or a related field
