About the Role:
- Provide educational counselling and support services within schools to ensure that the best possible assistance services are available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, students, families and communities.
- Provide cross cultural awareness training to the broader school community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide educational counselling and support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students across a range of schools.
- Strengthen engagement with students, families, schools, and community partners to improve educational participation and outcomes.
- Develop and deliver culturally responsive support programs and provide advice on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, protocols, and cultural awareness.
- Build partnerships with community organisations and external support services to enhance student wellbeing and success.
- Support schools in effectively implementing programs and initiatives that benefit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
