About the Role:
As the Cleaner you will:
- Contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high level of cleaning support;
- Ensure that the duties prescribed for the position are completed to an acceptable standard as determined by their supervisor, in accordance with the approved school cleaning program.
The Cleaner, reports to the Business Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
- Clean classrooms, offices, toilets, sick bays, common areas and outdoor areas;
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, buffing, polishing and cobweb control;
- Dispose of rubbish and assist with litter control;
- Clean windows, furniture, fittings, and equipment;
- Remove graffiti and ensure high standards of hygiene and general presentation across the school;
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively;
- Assist with building security, including locking and unlocking facilities;
- Report maintenance, safety, and security concerns as required.
