Position Information

Camdenville Public School is a unique setting located in the Inner West of Sydney.  The school serves as a central hub within the community and has an enrolment of 375 students from preschool to Year 6. 16.9% of students are from language backgrounds other than English. 4.5% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school has strong partnerships with an active P&C and school community which help to inform school practices and programs. Extra-curricular opportunities including, music ensembles, sport, drama, visual arts, languages and coding, enable students to excel in areas of interest and talent. 

General Selection Criteria
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Specific Selection Criteria

In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary 

1. Experience in building staff capacity through instructional leadership while balancing classroom teaching and school leadership responsibilities. 

2.Demonstrated leadership in developing high-quality, differentiated literacy and numeracy programs, using explicit, evidence-based teaching practices, and driving whole school improvement through data analysis. 

3.Visible and collaborative leader who fosters a positive inclusive school culture, implementing effective behaviour management strategies and wellbeing initiatives. 

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
