Yass Public School has a population of 320 students including 10% of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. We have 13 classes. Teamwork and collegiality are central to our school ethos and the school is supported by a strong and active Parents and Citizens Association. Current priorities are improving literacy and numeracy learning outcomes for students. Developing leadership and wellbeing in students and staff and building community capacity.
Our school is striving to further develop evidence based improvement strategies to enhance outcomes for students and develop quality teaching strategies.
The staff is committed and caring and has a balance of early career and highly experienced teachers.
The strong teaching team, along with our parent and wider community, are committed to providing a caring environment of stimulation, opportunity, participation and achievement for each child.
