All students at Yass High School learn from and are encouraged by highly qualified, experienced teachers who work collaboratively to ensure dynamic course delivery and enriched learning, including project-based programs.
We promote a culture of high expectations and wellbeing through our PBS (Positive Behaviours for Success) values of Respect, Responsibility, Safety and Learning. Yass High School has a growing enrolment and is currently around 540 students with an additional 21 students in the Support Unit. The Head Teacher Special Education will lead the learning and management of three MC (multi-categorical) classes. This will involve the supervision of MC teachers and SLSO staff, development of teaching and learning programs and collaboration with the Head Teacher welfare and Learning and Support Teachers. There is an increasing demand for places in support classes and this is a growing area of enrolment at Yass High School.
