The Beach School is an SSP (School for Specific Purpose) located on the Northern Beaches that caters for 42 students in years 7 to 12 who are exhibiting challenging and/or disruptive behaviours, mental health issues and autism.
The Beach School aims to deliver an intensive intervention program designed to help students learn to manage their behaviour and emotions and integrate successfully into a personalised transition pathway such as mainstream high school, TAFE or the workplace.
The Beach School work within a Trauma Informed Model. The school and its community have high expectations academically and socially. Students access secondary key learning areas as well as woodwork, music, sport, horticulture, bee keeping and cafe skills.
