Queanbeyan Public School has 680 students, including 9% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 21% students from non-English speaking backgrounds. There are four support classes and 27 mainstream classes. The school has a committed staff who implement a philosophy of inclusion.

 

Queanbeyan Public School signed a partnership agreement with the local Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) in 2010 and has sustained active continuous staff membership. In July 2017, a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) was developed in consultation with the local AECG. 

 

The school has a proud history and promotes a supportive sense of community with a Parents and Citizens' Association and a ‘Schools as Community Centres’ (SACC) facility.
