Oyster Bay Public School is located in southern Sydney and is a nurturing and inclusive environment across a split site. Enrolments have trended upwards in recent years and there are currently 430 students (13% EALD and less than 1% Aboriginal students) working in 17 classes. The school has a strong academic focus and an emphasis upon the delivery of high quality differentiated teaching and learning programs.  Oyster Bay Public School is accredited as a Walker Learning Approach study school – this reflects our strong teaching philosophy of play and inquiry-based learning.  The school has a vibrant blend of experienced and early career teachers who collaborate to provide a dynamic, safe, and caring learning environment in which each student feels valued and challenged to achieve individual excellence, within a balanced curriculum framework. A range of well-developed performing arts (including Dance, Band, Drama and Film) and sporting opportunities are on offer to add to the development of individual success

The school enjoys strong partnerships with other local schools (HOTSCOS - Heart of the Shire Community of Schools) and is also well supported by an active and positive partnership with parents and the wider community. The school enjoys an annual Art and Craft Festival each year which has strengthened the positive partnership between the school and the community.
