Lugarno Public School is situated within a small peninsula community on the banks of the Georges River with expansive school grounds. With an enrolment of 259 students, the K-6 primary setting has 41% of students coming from backgrounds other than English. The school is large enough to provide a variety of learning opportunities whilst being small enough to ensure the staff know and support each student. The students are nurtured by experienced and enthusiastic teachers who aim to develop successful, future focused learners by bringing out the social and academic potential of every child. Teachers are focused on working collaboratively to deliver high quality practices that positively impact on student learning and wellbeing. The school provides opportunities for students to excel through its literacy, numeracy, technology, sport, dance, band, leadership and enrichment programs.
