Lismore South Public School is situated in the Northern Rivers area of NSW, in the city of Lismore. The school has a motto of “We Can” and is focused on developing the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of all of our students. There is also a DoE preschool onsite which accommodates up to 40 children. All students in the preschool attend on a part time basis.
At all times the students P–6 are engaged in positive learning experiences where they are encouraged to achieve their personal best. Our current enrolment sits at 277. We have 42 staff members and an allocation of 32.77 FTE.
This is the fourth year Lismore South Public School has participated in the Early Action For Success strategy supporting students K–2 in Literacy and Numeracy. This involves programs such as L3 (Literacy, Language, Learning) and Stage One L3.
At Lismore South Public School we seek to engage students in meaningful learning in content rich classrooms. We nurture curiosity, stimulate enquiry and encourage creativity. Our values of being safe, responsible and respectful underpin all that we do. We promote active participation in future focused learning at school and beyond.
