Como West Public School is situated in the Sutherland Shire, south of Sydney. The school's current enrolment is 314 students. Como West Public School is an inclusive, cohesive and dynamic learning community, where students, staff, parents and the wider community work in collaboration to foster high expectations for student learning and achievement, and are committed to the pursuit of continual school improvement and excellence.

A dedicated and professional staff provides quality teaching and learning experiences that cater for diverse learners. Staff are committed to ongoing professional learning and the implementation of innovative learning programs.  The school is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school which allows students to be responsible for their behaviour and are supported to improve and strive.

The school offers an extensive range of educational and extracurricular programs, with a strong focus on sporting endeavours and creative arts opportunities.
