CAA represents Career Education and Careers Advisers in Government, Catholic and Independent Schools in NSW and ACT, as well as other Career Development Practitioners working in associated fields. CAA promotes career education as a central and vital part of schooling and supports the work of Careers Advisers in assisting young people in making decisions about work, study and training. We are a member of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA).

  • Access to our online calendar containing event information (information sessions, open days, workshops etc) for most universities and private colleges where you can elect to “follow” events to receive a fortnightly email reminder of events you have selected. Reminder emails are sent at the start of each month for events coming up the following month, as well as two weeks before the events you have selected;
  • Newsletter Creation Tool - You can create your own customised newsletter for your students and/or parents containing specialised, relevant information on information seminars, open days, courses, expos etc.
    You can filter events to just see those relevant to you, those which are within your area or those from specific types of providers. You can filter events relevant for a particular grade (ie year 12), or multiple grades. The options are endless! Events and cut off dates are auotmatically filtered from all information in CAAs online calendar according to the paramaters which you set.
  • Access to our “Job Corner” where you can view careers positions advertised by Public and Private Schools and upload your own job ad if you are looking for work;
  • Our Journal, Prospects, sent three times a year which contains articles and information for Careers Advisers;
  • Discounted members rates to attend our Annual Conference;
  • An opportunity each year to nominate for the Career Adviser of the Year Award, the Hilary Bolin Award and the Margaret Gambley Medal – each acknowledging significant contribution to careers (professional members only);
  • Access to free and subsidised CAA organised Professional Development activities and industry visits;
  • Access to our Professional Development Grants for Networks of CAA, when offered;
