Broke Public School is situated in the Singleton Learning Community and is part of the Upper Hunter Network of Schools. The school provides a dynamic and caring educational environment in which all students' access quality educational programs with varied and balanced curriculum. An essential focus is on Literacy, Numeracy, Attendance and Aboriginal student engagement and success.  Student wellbeing is a high priority at Broke Public School and all activities and programs are centred on making the students well rounded and upstanding citizens in the community with shared values and culture.

The current enrolment is 38 students 8 of which identify as ATSI, making it a TP2. There is a strong community connection within the school as all staff work in partnership with parents to deliver improved outcomes for all students. The Parents and Citizens Association are partners in decision making and are committed to supporting the school to achieve its goals.
