Resource Description

Created by Voiceless, the animal protection institute, this Animal Protection Education (APE) has been developed for a  Stage 4, Year 7 English class and uses Ondine Sherman’s coming of age novel; Snow,  as  the primary resource, drawing on a range of supporting fiction and non-fiction texts. This is the second novel in the Sky series.

Snow is an accessible text for junior students which explores a diverse range of thematic concerns such as; identity, animal protection and tragedy. Through inquiry, students are prompted to ask critical questions regarding societal views on the treatment of animals.
