Resource Description
In order to better understand the genetic make-up of the human race, research like the 1000 Project were conducted. The 1000 Genomes Project (or 1KGP) is the creation of the largest public catalogue of human genetic variation and genotype data. It launched in 2008 and officially concluded in 2015.
