The Theory of Evolution
Resource Description
Darwin proposed that organisms change over time through the mechanism of natural selection. Natural selection enables organisms to be able to adapt to changing environments. Organisms develop traits that are well-fitted to the habitat they live in. Advantageous traits that provide adaptation enable organisms to survive. These stronger species live on and pass the traits to offspring.
