Proteins are biomolecules made up of amino acid that can be found in all organisms. These are end products of the decoding process of cellular DNA. A chain of amino acids is called a polypeptide. Short polypeptides, having less than 20-30 residues, are sometimes just called peptides or oligopeptides.
