Resource Description

DNA transcription is the process of producing RNA from DNA and is the first step towards gene expression. It produces single stranded RNA called messenger RNA, or mRNA. Only one strand of DNA is copied. This strand is called the template strand, or the noncoding strand. The DNA strand that is similar with the mRNA strand is called the coding strand.

An e-book resource for the New Australian Curriculum containing AAA-level research notes, summary video and resource links, multi-choice question and answer sections presented in full colour photos and diagrams for maximum learning engagement.
