Even with all the resources, the planet has its limits. For the past centuries, human population has exponentially been increasing. To be able to exhaust all the resources available on the planet, humans have developed technologies to modify the environment to suit to human needs. However, this leads to severe effects which continue to worsen as long as the human population continue to increase.
