What to do
Read the texts to identify a good fit for each student. Ask students to complete the pre-reading and goal setting pages for the selected text. Read the text together, or independently depending on the reading level of your students. Select the reading comprehension tasks that are a good fit for the skills you are teaching in your own class or group and with their own learning and reading goals. Ask students to complete the tasks that match their goals then work with them to check their answers and fill in their reflection page. Discuss and agree on future learning goals. Complete the marking rubric for each student to help you keep a track of progress over time.

There are 2 versions of this resource included - one uses miles for distance and USA spelling, while the other uses metric for distance and British English for spelling.
